Here’s a picture tutorial for the first version.
Just opened, it looks like this:
You see the list of sequences on the left, the save and load buttons and the piano roll editor. You can drag the edges of the window to enlarge the piano roll.
With a left click into the grid, you add a note to the sequence:
You see a green square indicating the note. Here, I added a C1 as the first note to the sequence.
When I left click at a column further into the sequence, the following happens:
Now, the blue columns indicate that there is no note in that column and the sequencer will play nothing there. Same as the tap/rest button on the microbrute.
You can add notes into the blue columns by simply left clicking wherever you want them.
If you want to delete notes, you can right click into a column. But be careful: it will delete from the end of the sequence to the point you clicked and currently, there is no undo function!
So, after some fiddling, your sequence may look like this:
Note how I added a break at the end of the sequence. I did so by adding a note and the left clicking onto it – turning it into a break.
Now, you can simply click “save” and select a location and filename to save your file. Then, you can upload the file to the microbrute with the connection software.
Also, “load” opens a file browser to open a file you got from the microbrute with the connection software.
Hope that helps – for questions please leave a comment!
